School Supplies for Kids

Rotarians Carla Daily and Debbie Overcash Fill Backpacks with School Supplies

Every August, we gather at Rainbow Elementary School to participate in the SS Kids Project, which provides backpacks filled with school supplies for local underprivileged school children. Begun in 1993 by Rotarian Gail LeCroy, this project generally provides new school supplies for 325-375 school children in approximately 14 local schools. These backpacks are distributed to the students at the start of the school year. SS Kids is funded by local inter-denominational churches.
